Teeth Whitening Process

A plastic or rubber guard is placed in your mouth to keep it open. The gums are then covered with a barrier to protect them from the bleaching gel and prevent gum inflammation and burning. A bleaching gel is administered to the teeth once the protective coating has formed. A laser is directed onto the teeth after a few minutes. The bleaching gel is heated by the laser, which activates its whitening properties. The gel will foam, indicating that it is working to remove stains from the teeth. The gel is left on the teeth for a few minutes. A small suction is then used to remove it.
